Installation / Formulix 0.1.0

Drupal

A module using Drupal core’s CKEditor 5.

Installation

Run npm run package:integrations. Extract formulix from dist/formulix-drupal-0.1.0.zip to web/modules/custom/formulix, enable the module and rebuild caches. This custom ZIP is not a Composer/Drupal.org release.

Configuration

Under Configuration → Content authoring → Text formats and editors, edit a CKEditor 5 format for trusted users. Add the four Formulix buttons and configure the HTTPS API URL and domain-bound public key.

API and public key

Use the HTTPS API URL supplied by your operator and your account’s public key. Register the editor’s domain in the dashboard; registration also covers its subdomains. Example URLs and keys are placeholders, not available services.

Preview and insertion content is sent to the API. Use only the domain-bound public key in the browser, never administrator, SMTP or Mercado Pago credentials. See authentication, errors and limits and the privacy draft.

Use

Insert a formula, calculation, graph or chemistry item and double-click to edit again. Uploads use FileRepository and Drupal’s native image provider. Test save/reopen and image attachment to content. The module uses core libraries without bundling another CKEditor.

Known limits

Run locally on Drupal 10.6.0/PHP 8.3: all four types, native uploads, saving and editing again. Drupal 11 is declared but has not been run. Sources are included in assets/source/, outside module discovery.

The Word OMML/RTF clipboard path remains specific to TinyMCE. Feature parity in alpha adapters, simultaneous use of different languages, Firefox/WebKit and mobile use still need validation.
