Installation / Formulix 0.1.0

TinyMCE

Install the single-file client in TinyMCE 6, 7 or 8.

Installation

Run npm run build at the repository root. Host dist/formulix.min.js in a versioned HTTPS directory such as /formulix/0.1.0/. It includes the interface, MathLive, MathML converter, languages, styles and fonts. TinyMCE and the API are separate.

Configuration

<script src="/tinymce/tinymce.min.js"></script>
<script>
tinymce.init({
  selector: 'textarea',
  external_plugins: { formulix: '/formulix/0.1.0/formulix.min.js' },
  formulix_servidor: 'https://api.formulix.example', // PLACEHOLDER: operator's API URL
  formulix_chave: 'YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY', // PLACEHOLDER
  formulix_idioma: 'en',
  toolbar: 'equacao contaarmada grafico quimica',
  images_upload_url: '/upload',
  automatic_uploads: true
});
</script>

/upload belongs to your application and must implement a TinyMCE-compatible upload endpoint. Adjust CSP for API connections, inline styles and font-src data:. Keep a previous version for rollback. The legacy name equacao also registers the plugin. Configuration keys and toolbar identifiers stay as written, regardless of interface language.

API and public key

Use the HTTPS API URL supplied by your operator and your account’s public key. Register the editor’s domain in the dashboard; registration also covers its subdomains. Example URLs and keys are placeholders, not available services.

Preview and insertion content is sent to the API. Use only the domain-bound public key in the browser, never administrator, SMTP or Mercado Pago credentials. See authentication, errors and limits and the privacy draft.

Classroom use

Open Formula, Set up calculation, Function graph or Chemistry from the toolbar. Edit the preview and confirm to insert. Reopen an item and test saving/reloading. The formula field accepts Word paste; TinyMCE also has the dedicated OMML/RTF clipboard path.

With formulix_idioma: 'en', written calculations use decimal points and long division. For example, use 12.5 ÷ 5 = 2.5 in a worksheet. Formula notation uses sin/tan, (x, y) and x₁/x₂.

Known limits

Reading saved HTML does not require the plugin or an active subscription.
