Visual formulas
Fractions, roots, powers and matrices in editable blocks. Align solution steps at the equals sign, or use LaTeX if you prefer.
Formulas, written calculations, algebra, graphs and chemistry for teachers and schools. Build worksheets and lessons visually, and reuse equations from your Word documents.
Stable in TinyMCE. Alpha in Moodle, WordPress, CKEditor 5, Drupal and Tiptap.
Dashboard link is a placeholder. Free GPL plugin. Free API plan with 500 insertions per month.
English interface and familiar notation: decimal points, sin and tan, (x, y) and long division. For example, 12.5 ÷ 5 = 2.5. No LaTeX knowledge required.
Fractions, roots, powers and matrices in editable blocks. Align solution steps at the equals sign, or use LaTeX if you prefer.
Long division, multiplication with carrying and subtraction with borrowing. Decimal points line up in the same column. Open “Set up calculation” to get started.
Linear and quadratic equations, 2 × 2 systems, LCM, GCD (also called HCF), fractions and direct or inverse proportion. Generate value tables and function analysis too.
Up to five functions, roots, vertices and intersections. Add points, insert the graph as a PNG and reopen it to edit.
Equation balancing, molar mass, electron configuration and the periodic table. Build diagrams of laboratory glassware and carbon chains.
In TinyMCE, paste OMML, Equation 3.0 and MathType equations. If reading fails, the equation becomes an image. Real clipboard validation is still pending; paste parity in alpha adapters has not been established.
TinyMCE is the stable integration. Other adapters are alpha: test them in staging before using them with your class.
The client is GPL. Calculations, chemistry, graphs and Word conversion run through the API, with a key restricted to registered domains.

One insertion per formula, calculation, graph or drawing; one per converted Word equation. Localhost testing has a separate default quota of 300 insertions/month/account, without using the plan allowance.
Evaluate an alternative with your own teaching materials. Formulix opens older Wiris MathML formulas and preserves their colours when editing. In TinyMCE, it also reads MathType equations pasted from Word.
Formulix brings visual editing, written calculations, worked solutions, graphs and chemistry together. Compatibility depends on format and integration; test your materials in the demo before migrating.
Data for the requested operation: expressions, values, functions and chemistry parameters. Word conversion sends the pasted HTML and RTF to read equations. Requests include the public key and site origin; usage is recorded per account and domain. Avoid pasting unnecessary personal data and read the privacy draft for service details.
Yes. Saved content uses HTML, MathML, tables and images. Reading does not require the Formulix plugin or API. Formulas need a MathML-capable browser or MathJax; images must remain hosted. To edit again with Formulix, preserve metadata and keep service access.
Starter and School are paid for 1 or 12 months, with no automatic renewal in the current flow. To stop, do not renew. The dashboard returns to Free limits three days after expiry. Contact support for cancellation or refund requests under the draft service terms.
Yes, using a key from your account. Localhost and .test domains have a separate default development quota of 300 insertions/month/account. It does not use your plan allowance, but still needs an API connection.
The plugin/client is free software under GPL-3.0-or-later, with sources included in distributions. The plan pays for the API service: calculations, chemistry, graphs and Word conversion. The host editor’s licence must also be respected.
