Installation / Formulix 0.1.0

Moodle

The tiny_formulix subplugin for Moodle’s TinyMCE editor.

Installation

Declared minimum: Moodle 4.5. Run npm run package:integrations at the repository root. Upload dist/formulix-moodle-0.1.0.zip through Site administration → Plugins → Install plugins, or extract formulix to lib/editor/tiny/plugins/formulix. Complete the administrative upgrade and purge caches.

Configuration

In the TinyMCE → Formulix settings, enter the HTTPS API URL and the public key limited to your installation’s domains. Use forms with TinyMCE and file support enabled to upload graphs.

API and public key

Use the HTTPS API URL supplied by your operator and your account’s public key. Register the editor’s domain in the dashboard; registration also covers its subdomains. Example URLs and keys are placeholders, not available services.

Preview and insertion content is sent to the API. Use only the domain-bound public key in the browser, never administrator, SMTP or Mercado Pago credentials. See authentication, errors and limits and the privacy draft.

Use and permissions

The user must be signed in and have tiny/formulix:use. Guests do not receive the buttons. Choose one of the four areas, confirm, save and test editing again in a course or question. PNGs go to the user’s draft file area, protected by sesskey and a size limit.

Known limits

Existing checks cover AMD/RequireJS with real TinyMCE 8, saved/reeditable formulas and PHP contracts. Validation in a complete LMS installation is still pending, including forms, files, permissions and final sanitization. The ZIP does not install Moodle.

The Word OMML/RTF clipboard path remains specific to TinyMCE. Feature parity in alpha adapters, simultaneous use of different languages, Firefox/WebKit and mobile use still need validation.

Sources and licences are included in source/. Reading saved content does not depend on a subscription.
