WordPress / Gutenberg
A static block for formulas, written calculations, graphs and chemistry.
Installation
Run npm run package:integrations at the repository root. Under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, install dist/formulix-wordpress-0.1.0.zip and activate it.
Configuration
Under Settings → Formulix, enter the HTTPS API URL and your domain-bound public key.
API and public key
Use the HTTPS API URL supplied by your operator and your account’s public key. Register the editor’s domain in the dashboard; registration also covers its subdomains. Example URLs and keys are placeholders, not available services.
Preview and insertion content is sent to the API. Use only the domain-bound public key in the browser, never administrator, SMTP or Mercado Pago credentials. See authentication, errors and limits and the privacy draft.
Use and media
In Gutenberg, add a Formulix block and choose a formula, calculation, graph or chemistry item. Use the block’s edit action to reopen it. PNGs use the media library and the native upload_files permission; users without it cannot upload graphs.
The block saves static HTML: formulas, tables and images remain readable after deactivating the plugin. KSES is extended for the necessary MathML elements and attributes without granting authors unfiltered_html.
Known limits
Tested on WordPress 6.8/PHP 8.3 with an Author account: all four item types, real uploads, REST/KSES saving and editing after reload. It has not been submitted to WordPress.org. This test does not validate other versions or WordPress editors.
The Word OMML/RTF clipboard path remains specific to TinyMCE. Feature parity in alpha adapters, simultaneous use of different languages, Firefox/WebKit and mobile use still need validation.
Before public use, the operator must disclose the external service, costs, support and final terms and privacy policy. These texts are drafts. The ZIP includes licences and sources in source/.
