Terms of use — draft translation
Preliminary terms for the GPL client and the API service.
1. Parties and service
To complete: legal entity, CNPJ, address and service operator. Formulix provides an editing client and an API for calculations, chemistry, graphs and Word equation conversion. Buying API access is separate from licensing the client.
2. Licences and integrations
The client and adapters are free under GPL-3.0-or-later, with sources and notices included in distributions. Your application must satisfy the licences of TinyMCE, CKEditor and other components. The client licence does not grant unrestricted API access.
Moodle, WordPress, CKEditor 5, Drupal and Tiptap are alpha. Limits are stated in their guides. Local distribution does not imply directory approval or compatibility with every version.
3. Account, key and domain
Users keep account details current and protect their passwords. The browser key is public and bound to the account and its domains. Never configure administrative secrets in the client. Requests outside permitted domains are rejected; external scripts can forge Origin. Revocations may take about 5 seconds to reach the API.
4. Plans and measurement
The code defines Free at 500, Starter at 5,000 and School at 25,000 insertions/month; Network has no configured numerical ceiling. Paid allowances apply per account; Free also aggregates domain usage across accounts. Development has a separate default ceiling of 300 insertions/month/account.
Each accepted confirmation counts per item, including edits; Word counts per converted equation. Previews are measured without using insertions and remain subject to requests-per-minute limits. See the technical contract. A global transactional per-request count across processes is not guaranteed.
5. Payments and term
The flow uses Mercado Pago Checkout Pro to buy 1 or 12 months upfront without automatic recurring debit. The dashboard sends the payer’s email and purchase reference to the provider and checks payment before applying the plan.
Provisional prices, to be finalized before launch: Starter R$ 49/month; School R$ 189/month. Twelve months cost ten monthly payments (R$ 490 or R$ 1,890). Network requires a contract. An approved renewal of the same still-valid plan extends its term; switching plans starts a term on the current date, with no implemented proration.

After expiry, a 3-day grace period applies, then Free limits take effect. Refunds and disputes are recorded and require an administrative decision; that path does not automatically downgrade the plan.
Review pending: final offer, taxes/invoices, cancellation, refunds, applicable withdrawal rights, disputes, price changes and notices. This draft does not restrict statutory rights.
6. Content and responsible use
Integrators must be authorized to process submitted content, disclose the external service and avoid unnecessary personal data. Review results before using them in teaching: chemical illustrations are educational, automatic function analysis covers linear/quadratic functions, and Word conversion has limits.
HTML stays in the customer’s platform and remains readable without a subscription, provided the platform preserves files and structure. Content backups, permissions and sanitization belong to the integration. The API does not replace that storage.
7. Data and responsibilities
See the privacy draft. Controller/processor roles must be defined for the processing, purposes and contract, especially for schools and children’s data. The Portuguese source identifies Brazil’s LGPD as a legal-review reference.
Items for local legal review, not claims of compliance: US school/student privacy requirements (including FERPA and COPPA, where applicable); UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 for UK use; EU GDPR for EU use; and applicable local consumer, payment and international-transfer rules. Scope, roles and duties must be assessed for each deployment. No compliance certification is claimed.
8. Availability and support
No SLA, response time or maintenance policy is defined here. Production SMTP and checkout still need validation. suporte@for-muli-x.com is a placeholder with unverified receipt.
Before publication
Have legal counsel review party identities, consumer rights, proportionate responsibilities, data protection, jurisdiction/applicable law and termination. Validate the actual service and replace placeholders before requesting acceptance or submitting to Moodle/WordPress directories. The English draft does not replace the Portuguese source.
